Baile township is located in the north of Tianlin County, at the junction of Guangxi and Guizhou provinces and three counties, with Ceheng County in Guizhou Province in the north, Leye County in the northeast and LANGPING town in the south. The township government is 98 kilometers away from the county. There are 4 village committees, 24 natural villages and 49 villager groups in the township, with a total population of 7143.

Economic situation

The total area of the township is 375 square kilometers, the township is a mountainous area, the terrain tilts from east to northwest. The main minerals are: antimony ore, gold ore, pyrite, crystal, sulfur, etc. The main rivers are: Nanpan River, Bangan River, genbiao River and Badong river. At the beginning of 2004, bazhang hydropower station and Bangan hydropower station were built in Bangan River, with a total investment of 150 million yuan. The main crops are: rice, corn, valley, sugarcane, vegetables, etc. The main economic forests are: pine, Cunninghamia lanceolata, tung oil tree, star anise, chestnut, etc. Baile township has a superior geographical location, with Baile Tianlin, Baile Zhexiang Wangmo, Baile Yachang Huaping Leye highways. There are passenger and cargo ships on the waterway, up to Xilin and badukou, and down to Zhexiang, Hechi, Tiane County, Guizhou. All the four village committees in the township are connected with 10kv High-voltage electricity and remote control telephone. The township government has also installed a pager receiving station and China mobile phone, which can receive domestic and foreign telephone paging and direct dial domestic and foreign long-distance calls.
