Pohong town

Pohong town is located in Shishan District in the south of Tianyang County, where provincial roads pass through. It is the transportation hub of Baise and Tianyang to Debao, Jingxi and Napo counties and three towns in the south mountain area, 27 km away from the county. The town has 24 villages, 257 natural villages, 330 villager groups, 8702 households and 31281 people (2017), with a total area of 309.56 square kilometers and 41000 mu of cultivated land, including 12200 mu of paddy field. In 2009, the average net income of farmers was 2470 yuan.

In the Qing Dynasty, pohong group was set up in pohong town. In the early days of liberation, it was the Second District, and later it was renamed as pohong town. The town has 24 village committees: Podan, Xinjing, xiabang, kusheng, nonghe, Nongsheng, Langhan, Xingda, Wuhe, Gumei, Xinjian, Xinjing, Xinmei, Tian'an, Xindong, Baihe, Qinhua, leshang, Nanxing, Xinhe, Yangli, Chaoma, Kangfu and Kangda.
