Fozi town

Fozi town belongs to Lingshan County, Qinzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the east of Lingshan County, 8 kilometers away from the seat of the county government. It is adjacent to Fuwang town in Pubei County in the East, Xinxu town in the south, Lingcheng town in the West and Pingshan Town in the north.

Fozi town has a total area of 168.18 square kilometers. At the end of 2013, it has one community, 17 administrative villages and a total population of 66433 (2017). In 2013, the town achieved a total agricultural output value of 313 million yuan and a total industrial output value of 280 million yuan.

Fozi town is mainly hilly terrain, located in low latitude, belongs to south subtropical monsoon climate, mild climate in four seasons, abundant rainfall; rich in litchi, longan, tea, Huaishan and tomatoes and other agricultural products.

Historical evolution

In 1888, the Buddhist school was under the jurisdiction of pingshanlian. in 1927, the district township was changed into the third district, with jurisdiction over Sansheng Township, Xinhua Township, Fanglan Township and longfu township. In 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Fozi Township governs 10 small townships. In July 1958, Longyuan township was merged into Fozi township. In August 1958, the Buddhist people's commune was established. in September 1984, the people's commune was abolished and the township (town) system was restored. on January 1, 1994, the county realized the town system, and Fozi township was renamed Fozi town.

In September 1998, Shenghua Middle School of Fozi town was established, covering an area of 2.67 hectares and a building area of 6120 square meters. In 2006, the "two basic" education was accepted and qualified by the autonomous region. In 2008, there were 2 middle schools, 1 central school, 17 village primary schools and 5 village branch schools in the town, with 555 teachers (including substitute classes), including 154 middle school teachers and 401 primary school teachers, 2642 junior middle school students and 6912 primary school students. In 2009, 3 million yuan was invested in the construction of student dormitories in two middle schools; 2.43 million yuan was invested in the construction and transformation of four primary schools; more than 1 million yuan was invested in improving the infrastructure of primary and secondary schools. In 2010, there were 8 kindergartens and nurseries, 17 primary schools and 2 middle schools in the town, with 6043 primary school students and 2863 middle school students. In 2013, there were 17 primary schools with 5586 students and 266 teachers in Fozi town; 2 middle schools with 2580 students and 163 teachers; and 16 kindergartens and nurseries.
