Naqin Village

Naqin township is located in the northeast of Shangsi County, with a total area of 308.4 square kilometers. It is the third largest township in Shangsi County, bordering Yongning in the East, Fusui in the north and Siyang town in the West. The township government is located in naqinwei, 18 kilometers away from the county. Shangyong highway runs through the hinterland, Shangda highway and Shangfang highway pass through the township. The township governs 9 administrative villages, 112 natural villages, 154 production teams, with a population of 17582 (2017), and the main ethnic group is Zhuang. The cultivated land area of the township is 31000 mu, of which the paddy field area is 22100 mu. The forest area is 20900.3 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is 68%. There are 4 small type II reservoirs with a total capacity of 2.13 million cubic meters and 90 ponds.

Naqin township has very convenient transportation. It is located in the main roads of Shangyong, Shangfang and Shangqin, and is the East gateway of Shangsi county. It is rich in resources, wide in territory, and has a large area of paddy field and forestry. It is the largest grain production base and the second (Forestry) township of Shangsi County, and also the hometown of fruits in Shangsi county. In the aspect of animal husbandry and poultry breeding, ducks are mainly raised. A duck raising Association jointly operated by more than 42 households has been established, with an annual output of 600000 ducks, accounting for 70% of the county's meat duck market. It is the largest meat duck breeding base in Shangsi county. There is a Longlou dairy farm invested and operated by Guangxi Huangshi biological Dairy Co., Ltd. It is the largest dairy farm in the region with an annual output of 6500 kg in 2003. It was selected as the national dairy farm by China Dairy Association. Grain planting and sugarcane production are the two pillar industries of the township.
