Yunping Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Liangdang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Liangdang county. It is connected with Guangjin Township in the East, Jialing town in Hui County in the south, zhanerxiang town in the west, Taishan Township in the north and Fengxian County in Shaanxi Province in the northeast. The total administrative area is 296.78 square kilometers.

Evolution of organizational system

In December 1949, it belonged to Fengfeng Township, the third district of Liangdang county.

In August 1958, the three counties merged into Guangjin commune.

In January 1962, Yunping commune was established after the establishment of the three counties.

In May 1968, it was renamed Chunguang commune.

In October 1972, the original name was restored.

In December 1984, it was changed into Yunping Township, with jurisdiction over 12 villages.

In December 2005, Guangjin township was merged with Yunping Township, which governs 20 villages.
