Nanbianshan town

Nanbianshan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Lingui District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Lingui District, 44 kilometers away from the urban area, adjacent to Yangshuo County in the southeast, Yongfu County in the West and Liutang town in the north, with an administrative area of 157.76 kilometers. Qing Dynasty, belongs to Lingui county. In 2015, nanbianshan township was changed into a town. By the end of 2018, there are 32000 people in nanbianshan Town, and the living ethnic groups are Zhuang, Han, Hui and Yao. By the end of 2019, it has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, and the town government is located in nanbianshan (SHIZIKOU) polder.

In October 2016, nanbianshan town was listed as the third batch of new urbanization demonstration towns in Guilin. In 2018, the per capita net income of farmers in nanbianshan town was 16000 yuan.

Evolution of organizational system

Qing Dynasty, belongs to Lingui county.

In 1933, it belonged to Liutang District of Guilin county.

In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), Tangtou, Qingping and other townships were set up, belonging to Lingui county.

In December 1949, it belonged to Liutang District of Lingui county.

In December 1950, it was divided into 11 districts (Southern Mountain).

In October 1952, it belonged to Liutang district (called four districts in June 1954).

In December 1957, it was a mountain town in the south. In August of the next year, it belonged to Liutang commune.

In April 1959, nanbianshan commune was established.

In August 1962, nanbianshan commune was changed into nanbianshan.

In April 1963, the southern mountainous area was merged with Liutang district.

In April 1966, nanbianshan commune was reestablished.

In October 1984, nanbianshan commune was changed into nanbianshan township.

In 2015, nanbianshan township was changed into a town.

By the end of 2019, nanbianshan town has 13 administrative villages, including langlian village, Qian village, Dongshan village, Wujing village, Nanxin village, Yulian village, Fubian village, Tangtou village, Jundong village, Yongping village, Shengping village, Yongzhong village and Jingyuan village, with a total of 141 natural villages. The town government is stationed in nanbianshan (SHIZIKOU) polder.
