Yaru Street

Yaru sub district office of Liubei district is located in the southwest of Liubei district. It is named because Yaru road runs through the north and south. There are eight community committees in the District, including Yalian, Guangya, Yaru, Fukang, shengtingyuan, Guangyue, Jinhu and Yijiang. The total number of households is 18622 and the total population is 53266 (2010). There are more than 130 industrial and commercial enterprises in the jurisdiction. The area has convenient transportation and roads extending in all directions. Historical evolution

Yaru road is one of the oldest streets in Liuzhou. It was built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (around 1800 A.D.) and was initially named "Da Yu Cun". In the 25th year of Guangxu (1899 AD), Li Shengjun, a gentleman from Guangdong, thought that the word "Da Yu" was indecent, so he renamed it Yaru village; in 1949, it was renamed Yaru street. There is a brick wall built in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, which is the border sign of the East and west of Liuzhou.
