Pengqiao Township

Pengqiao township is located in the North Bank of Huaihe River, in the hinterland of Zhengyang County, 17 kilometers away from the county seat, with convenient transportation and communication. Historical evolution

Pengqiao commune was established in 1977 and changed to township in 1983. In 1997, with an area of 76.9 square kilometers and a population of 25000, it has jurisdiction over nine administrative villages, namely Pengqiao, Banqiao, Hezhuang, Wangdian, daliuzhuang, xiaozhaozhuang, dachenzhuang, Xindian and Laodian.
