In 1952, DUJIE township was merged into zhendu county. On April 5, 1953, Dujie was assigned to Longan County, the seventh district of Longan County. In September 1958, DUJIE township was transformed into a satellite commune. In December, the satellite commune was renamed Dujie commune.
