Tianyuan Town

Tianyuan Town is located in the southeast of Lianping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. It is connected with Xinfeng County, Shaoguan City in the East and south, Longjie town in the west, Xishan town and Yuanshan town in the north. The total area of the town is 129.78 square kilometers, including 120000 mu of mountainous area and 11000 mu of cultivated land. It has 7 village committees including changcui, Tianxi, Tiandong, Xinhe, Yongji, Shuixi and Xiaowu, 103 villager groups and 9018 people (2017).

Economic situation

The economy is dominated by agriculture. Hejiaoping (Nanshan) Lianping high tech agricultural ecological park invested by Shenzhen enterprises focuses on the development of green organic vegetables, fruits, pollution-free pigs and other high-quality agricultural products; dagangping Shatangju planting base and sanhuali and other high-quality fruits, a total of 26000 mu, with an annual output of 15000 tons. Tianyuan Town is rich in tourism, forestry, mineral and water resources. Tourism resources mainly include Jiulianshan primeval forest resort, Xinhe rafting, dagangping and hejiaoping modern agricultural sightseeing areas. The resort has star villa, Forest Villa Hotel, business Resort Hotel, new river boat, natural spring bath leisure club and so on. It is a new hot spot in Lianping county. The forest coverage rate of the town was 71.4%, and the afforestation rate was 72.2%. In terms of education, all primary schools have completed the task of rebuilding dilapidated buildings, and 100% of the primary schools are steel concrete buildings. In 1985, the mathematics section of Tianyuan middle school was rated as the advanced collective of Huiyang education system. In 1989, the school running quality of Tianyuan middle school reached a new high. After graduating from the third grade of junior high school, he took part in the provincial unified examination of secondary school enrollment, and five of the six subjects won the first place in the county.
