Jiuhe Town, subordinate to Zijin County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the south of the middle of Zijin County and the middle reaches of Qiuxiang river. Historical evolution
In the Ming Dynasty, Jiuhe was an ancient capital under the name of huangshadu.
In the Qing Dynasty, Jiuhe belonged to huangshajiao and tanglishe, the ancient capital.
Since 1929, Jiuhe has been in xiahuangsha township of the first district.
In 1945, it was Huangsha township.
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, Jiuhe was called Jiuhe city.
At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, Jiuhe belonged to xiahuangsha Township, the second district (Lantang).
In 1952, Jiuhe was the Fifth District.
In December 1957, Jiuhe belonged to Jiuhe Township and Reshui Township respectively.

The origin of place names
It is said that the original name of Jiuhe was "jiudunpu". Later, Liu he set up a shop to open a Polder. In memory of him, later generations synthesized the place name and person name into "Jiuhe".
dialect
Jiuhe town is a popular Hakka dialect, belonging to the Hakka dialect system of Meixian County. It is the Zicheng dialect in Zijin Hakka dialect.
famous scenery
Yulinmen hot spring resort, a national 4A scenic spot, is located in Xingfu village and Shuishui village of Jiuhe Town, 40 km south of Zijin County, 11 km away from Jiuhe town.
In 1988 and 1996, Guangdong Provincial Press and Publication Bureau and Jiuhe finance institute successively built "Jiuhe hot spring villa" and "Jiuhe hot spring resort" in Reshui village. In the spring of 1992, Liu Sifeng, a famous scholar in Lingnan, once lived in Jiuhe hot spring villa and wrote a poem: "through the ages, the Tang spring and the stone flow, the mist and the lonely spring and autumn.
