Yonghan town

Yonghan town is subordinate to Longmen County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the southwest of Longmen County, bordering Zengcheng City in the southwest, and close to Nankunshan National Forest Park in the northwest. It is 60km away from the county, 120km away from Huizhou City, 93km away from Guangzhou City, and 18km away from Nankunshan tourism area. It is included in the one hour golden tourism circle of the Pearl River Delta. Its area is 392.69 square kilometers (2017).

Yonghan town has 48558 people (in 2017), which has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 22 administrative villages. Yonghan is a subtropical monsoon climate zone, with an average annual temperature of 23 ℃ and an average rainfall of 2278 mm.

History of construction

In the first year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Yongqing; the revolution of 1911 overthrew the control of Qing Dynasty.
When the Republic of China was founded in 1912, it was renamed Yonghan, which has been used all the time. Yonghan town was a part of pingkang capital of Changsha Township in Longmen County in Ming and Qing Dynasties. in the Republic of China, it was the 11th district (later called Yonghan District); in the early days of liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District of Longmen County. Yonghan people's commune was established in 1958 (yonghanwei town at that time was approved as a provincial town by the provincial government in 1956). In 1961, it was divided into four communes: Yonghan, Zhendong, oilfield and Liaotian. In 1963, it was merged into Yonghan commune. Yonghan town was established in the winter of 1986.
