Wendezhen

Wende Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Quyang County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Quyang County, 7 kilometers away from the county in the northwest, adjacent to Yanzhao town in the East, Ducun town in the south, luzhuangzi Township in the west, and Hengzhou town in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 8 dry meters, and the maximum distance between North and south is 7 dry meters, with a total area of 43.62 square kilometers. In late 2018, the total population of the registered residence in Wen de town was 50055.

Wende town got its name because the town government was stationed in Wende village. Wende township was established in March 1958, and Wende people's commune was rebuilt in August of the same year. In 1984, Wende township was restored. In 1996, the former South Hongde township was merged into the city. In April 2011, it was changed into a town. As of June 2020, Wende town has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages, and the town government is located in Wende West Village. There is Jingkun expressway transit, quyan highway through the township, is the main channel from the county to Yanzhao town.

History and culture

Since the Western Han Dynasty, stone workers in Quyang have used marble to carve steles and other objects. In the Tang Dynasty, Quyang became the birthplace and carving center of white marble statues in northern China.
