Yaojiafang town

Yaojiafang town belongs to Qiaoxi District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. It is located in the south of Qiaodong District, Zhangjiakou City, 10km away from the urban area. It is adjacent to Zhangxuan Avenue in the East, Binhe Road in the west, shalingzi town in the South and National Highway 110 in the north. The south ring line of express road, Beijing Baotou railway and central landscape Avenue run across the whole area, and are adjacent to Minghu, Beijing Zhangjiakou expressway, Zhangjiakou airport, Beijing Tibet expressway exit and Northern flower base. It is located in the center of the city's three major industrial clusters and logistics park. The town covers an area of 36.58 square kilometers, with 13 administrative villages, 1 farm and 29857 permanent residents (2017).

Yaojiafang commune was established in 1961, changed to yaojiafang Township in 1987, and changed to town in 1992. In 1997, with an area of 38.5 square kilometers and a population of 19000, it has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages including yaojiafang, dongfangfang, Luojiafang, zhaijiazhuang, beixinqu, chenjiafang, wanganfang, Ertaizi, hutudi, Qingshuihe, donggoufang and liujiakeng, and one Nanwei natural village.

Yaojiafang town was originally subordinate to Xuanhua county (now Xuanhua District). In July 2004, it was assigned to Zhangjiakou high tech Industrial Development Zone (non administrative zone). In January 2014, Zhangjiakou high tech Industrial Development Zone was renamed Zhangjiakou economic development zone. Now yaojiafang town is entrusted to Zhangjiakou economic development zone.

On January 28, 2016, some administrative divisions of Zhangjiakou were adjusted, and Xuanhua county was abolished. Shalingzi town and yaojiafang town of Xuanhua county were assigned to Qiaoxi District of Zhangjiakou City, but they were still managed by Zhangjiakou economic development zone.

In 2017, the town covers an area of 36.58 square kilometers with a permanent population of 29857.

There are three major enterprises in the town, including one food raw material enterprise, one precision casting enterprise, one mechanical processing enterprise (the detailed name of the design enterprise is not required). There are also some small and medium-sized enterprises in the town, such as casting, forging, machining, furniture, etc. Most of the self-employed people in the town are car maintenance and transportation. They are well-known in Zhangjiakou City for their practical work. The town is also a big agricultural town, with corn as the main product, which is a high-grade raw material for feed industry.

In summary, the town has simple customs and rich products.

Beijing Baotou railway passes through the west of zhaijiazhuang village, and National Highway 110 passes through the east of zhaijiazhuang village. The South Ring Road of Zhangjiakou starts from the west of Zhangxuan Avenue, passes through the north of dongfangzi village, the north of yaojiafang village, the south of beixinqu village, the north of chenjiafang village and the north of wanganfang village from east to west, and leads to the East 207 National Road of Wanquan district. Zhang Tang railway and G6 Beijing Tibet Expressway pass between yaojiafang village and liujiakeng village. The landscape Avenue of Yanghe new district passes through the south of hutudi village.

Zhangjiakou Xuanhua bus runs every hour, and hutudi village Zhangjiakou bus No.19 runs every 15 minutes. (at present, No.19 has been shut down due to the construction of Beijing Zhangjiakou high-speed railway. It is unknown when it will be reopened.)
