Xucheng street is the seat of Xuwen County Government. It has 7 community residents committees including Longwei, Xiangyang, kapok tree, nanmentang, Huajian, Datang and Fucheng, and 3 villagers committees including Ximen, Beimen and hezhailiao, with a total area of 16.6 square kilometers. In the 28th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1291), Xuwen County Office moved from Majiao village, and has been the seat of the county since then.
Historical evolution

Due to the construction of the ancient city wall and the residence of Xuwen County Office, it was later called Xucheng. In the Ming Dynasty, this place belonged to renzheng township. In the Qing Dynasty, there were seven Lingda townships with a history Office (located in the county). In the early years of the Republic of China, it followed the system of the Qing Dynasty; in 1931, Longhua town was set up, belonging to Xuyi district (also known as the Central District), with 7 subordinate cities and towns; in 1941, it was renamed Fu Cheng town, a county town, with 8 subordinate cities and towns. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Xuyi district and became the first administrative village in May 1950; in December 1953, it was renamed attached town and became a town under the jurisdiction of the district; in April 1957, after the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, it still set up attached town and became a county directly under the central government with 12 senior cooperatives; in March 1958, it was renamed in town; in February 1959, it was established in the people's commune of the city; in 1960, it was changed into Xucheng town. Since 2006, it has been renamed Xucheng Street office.

Xucheng Street office is located at 110 ° 10 ′ E and 20 ° 20 ′ n. It is adjacent to Haian town in the south, BEIXIANG town in the north and Nanshan Town in the East, West and south. The urban area is 4.9 square kilometers, the town area is 16.6 square kilometers, and the cultivated land is 3278 mu. Xucheng Street office is a low hilly platform with flat terrain. Xucheng is the transportation hub at the southern end of Leizhou Peninsula.
