Chengtian Town, Chaonan District, Shantou City, is located in the southeast of Chaonan district and the north foot of Danan mountain. Most of the places were originally beaches, and then reclaimed into good farmland, so it is called Chengtian.

Chengtian Town, Chaonan District, Shantou City, was also known as "Chengqian" in ancient times. In a narrow sense, Chengqian is the common name of the three communities in the center of Chengtian town. Provincial Highway and Huihe highway pass through the town, 8 km north from National Highway 324, 10 km east from Tianxin entrance and exit of Shenshan expressway. Chensha highway, the provincial first-class highway, runs through the south of the town, so the traffic is very convenient.

Characteristic industry

Hosiery weaving is a traditional characteristic industry in Chengtian Town, Chaonan district. Up to now, it has a history of more than 300 years, that is to say, in the Qing Dynasty, there were people engaged in the hosiery industry. Since the 1980s, the town's hosiery industry began to bid farewell to manual operation and gradually turned to mechanized production.

In April 2006, the Hosiery Association of Narita town was established to integrate resources and share information, so as to promote the development of hosiery industry.
