In December 1983, Sungang sub district office was established.

History and culture

Most of the indigenous people in Sungang Street are Guangfu people and Hakka people, retaining the traditional customs and dialect characteristics of Guangfu people and Hakka people. Yuanxun's former site, also known as Sungang laowei, is located in Sungang village, Luohu District. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 600 years.
