Neixi Township

Located 104 kilometers south of Longshan County, Hunan Province, it is adjacent to Jiashi Township and Longtou town in the East, Liye town in the southwest and zanguo Township in the north.

Neixi township is located in the southwest of Longshan County, bordering Jiashi in the East, zanguo in the north, Yanchong in the south, and Bamian in the west, with a total area of 83.9 square kilometers (2017), 14 administrative villages and 11471 people (2017). Lilong highway passes through the countryside, with a total length of 15 kilometers. The village road is 25 kilometers long.

Industrial Development

Citrus has become a pillar industry in our township. The planting area of the township reaches 10000 mu. Citrus, orange and grapefruit develop harmoniously, achieving a complete variety and excellent quality. With the development of traditional industries, forestry, flue-cured tobacco, tung oil, animal husbandry and other emerging industries have also been further strengthened. The private economy has gradually developed and expanded, especially the construction and processing industries have developed rapidly, and the composite industrial development mode has gradually formed.

geographical position

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Dada Township, and in 1950 it was neixi township. In 1958, it was Jia commune, and neixi commune was established in 1962. In 1984, it was withdrawn to be neixi township. The total area is 93.17 square kilometers, with 236 hectares of paddy fields and 116.2 hectares of dry soil.

Administrative area

There are 14 villages, including neixi, dongkan, Ximei, shuangke, Shahu, Shuangping, mieleihu, posong, TANKOU, Wujia, Banzhu, Yanlie, Wuguan and shuche, with 11471 people (2017). The highest altitude is 1318.8 meters and the lowest is 246 meters.

Grain crops include corn, rice, sweet potato, etc., and economic crops are mainly flue-cured tobacco. There are 1 middle school, 13 primary schools and 1 health center.
