Jiefangyan Township
Jiefangyan township is located in the south of Luxi County, 77 kilometers away from the county. It borders Xiaozhang and Xinglongchang in the East, Mujiangping Township in Fenghuang County in the south, Jixin town in Fenghuang County in the west, and Shuangtang town in Jishou City in the north. Zhiliu railway, the national artery, runs through the whole country, from Jishou to Mujiangping, from Jishou to Xiaozhang Township, and Xinglongchang highway runs through the whole township. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with an altitude of about 400-500 meters. The mineral resources are quite rich, mainly including alum, copper, pyrite and other ores.

Jiefangyan Township, Luxi County, Hunan Province, belongs to Ping'an Township in 1949, Jiefang Township in 1956, changed to commune in 1958, and resumed Jiefangyan Township in 1984.

Rice is the main grain.

The planting area of vegetables in the township is more than 6700 mu, including more than 2000 mu of ginger, more than 3200 mu of pepper, and more than 1500 mu of other leafy vegetables. The annual total output value can reach more than 10 million yuan, and the per capita income of farmers is about 800 yuan. In 2008, the key industry of ginger in the township has been designated as the key planting Township by the county. In 2006, there were 625 hectares of cultivated land, a total population of 14684 and 3256 households, including 14343 agricultural population, a total output value of 35.37 million yuan, a total agricultural output value of 20.67 million yuan, a total grain output of 3429 tons, and a per capita net income of 1477 yuan.
