Nankou area
Nankou district is under the jurisdiction of Changping District, Beijing. Located in the northwest of the region, it covers an area of 203 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 67811 (2010).

In the early Zhou Dynasty, it belonged to Ji state and later to Yan state. In the Western Han Dynasty, Changping County was established, and it belonged to Changping County. In 1425, the county was moved to Yongan City (now Changping Town). In 1513, Changping County was upgraded to Changping prefecture (Huairou, Miyun, Shunyi). In 1913, the Prefecture was changed into a county, which successively belonged to Jingzhao district and Changping County of Hebei Province. In 1956, Changping County was divided into Beijing, Changping District of Beijing. At the beginning of 1960, it was changed to Changping County.
Nankou commune was established in 1958, Nankou town commune in 1979, Nankou Township in 1983 and Nankou town in 1987. Daonan town was built in 1990. Taowa commune was established in 1961 and taowa township was changed in 1983. In 1996, Nankou town covers an area of 136.2 square kilometers and has a population of 12000. It governs 15 administrative villages including Juyongguan, Nankou village, Nankou Town Village, yangtaizi, Longtan, yanmoyu, Mazhuang, Huyu, Taipingzhuang, longhutai, xinlizhuang, Chenzhuang, Xueshan, qijianfang and hongnigou. Daonan town covers an area of 5.6 square kilometers and has a population of 29000 There are 29 neighborhood committees including Xizhong street, Longsheng street, Shuichang Road, xinxiguang street, zhongguanfang, beiguanfang, xindongguanfang, Nankou village, cement machinery factory, fertilizer factory, Nanchang, glass factory, steel ring factory, railway technical school and 9 neighborhood committees named by ordinal number.
In December 1997, Daonan town and taowa Township were abolished and merged into Nankou town. In 1999, Lizhuang village, Xiangtan village and Nankou farm in former Tulou Township were assigned to Nankou town; in the same year, Nankou town was abolished and Nankou regional office was established. At the end of 2002, the Office (town government) was located in Nankou village, with an area of 173.2 square kilometers and a population of 46200. It has jurisdiction over Shuichang Road, 11tiao, Xinxing Road, Xinglong Street, Longsheng street, Nankou, glass company, Nanchang East, Nanchang West, thermos bottle company, Nannong 11 communities and seven rooms, Mazhuang, Mafang, Wangzhuang, Taiping Zhuang, changshuiyu, longhutai, Longtan, donglizhuang and Xili There are 28 administrative villages, which are Xiangtan, Caozhuang, Xueshan, Xinyuan, yanmoyu and Tanyu.

Heping temple is a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing, located in Huata village, Nankou Town, Changping District, Beijing. Heping temple is one of the Buddhist activity centers in northern Beijing. It has been attached great importance by feudal dynasties and has been repaired many times. According to the records of "a study of the past and the future", there is a peace temple in Huata mountain, which was built in Tang Dynasty. It was built under the supervision of Yuchi Gong in the Tang Dynasty. It was named after the imperial edict "peace Temple" written by Emperor Taizong Li Shimin. In ancient times, it was said that there was peace temple first and then Tanzhe Temple, which shows that it has a long history. Heping temple is built under the Longwei depression of Longfeng Mountain in Yanshan Mountains. It skillfully uses the natural environment and is built according to the mountain with beautiful scenery.
