Kalabra town
Kalabra Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xinyuan County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Xinyuan County, commonly known as the "west gate" of Xinyuan county. It is adjacent to Gaofeng pasture in the East, Mohe township of Gongliu County in the south, agalsen Township of Gongliu County across the Tekes River in the west, Gongnaisi River in the north and Nileke County in the north, with a total administrative area of 550.82 square kilometers.
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, the town of kalabra belonged to the Garros tribe, under the jurisdiction of the thousand heads of Rabat and awaqian; in 1984, it was changed to kalabra township. In 2012, kalabra township was removed to build kalabra town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of the town was 20505. As of June 2020, kalabra town has two communities and eight administrative villages.

History of construction
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Garros tribe, head of Rabat and head of awaqian.
In the second half of 1953, it was the Fifth District of Xinyuan county.
In 1958, Hongguang commune was rebuilt.
In 1978, it was renamed kalabra commune.
In 1984, it was changed to kalabra township.

As of June 2020, kalabra town has jurisdiction over two communities and eight administrative villages: Shaha community, gilgelang community, kalabra village, kuntobe village, Kaimai awuzi village, Kizil tale village, aktohan village, akoyi village, Jiyeke village and Akqi village. The town people's government is located in Akeqi village.
