Chuanxi Township

Chuanxi Township, located in the north of Chenxi County, is an important oil base in the county, rich in vanadium, phosphorus, lead-zinc, iron and other mineral resources.

Chuanxi township is located in the north of Chenxi County, adjacent to Yongping township of Yuanling County in the East, facing Luxi County across the river by Yuanshui River in the west, Banqiao Township in the South and shaujiwan town of Yuanling County in the north. The branch of Xuefeng mountain extends from the east to the northwest, and the 9 km long s223 provincial road passes through the territory. The tea forest is connected into a piece, covering an area of 23100 mu. The annual planting area of high-quality rape is more than 7000 mu. It is an important oil base in the county, rich in vanadium, phosphorus, lead-zinc, iron and other mineral resources. The total area of the township is 68.59 square kilometers (2017). It governs 13 administrative villages and has a fishing team with a total of 12386 people (in 2017), including 8310 people who speak "wa dialect".

There are 10405 mu of cultivated land in the territory, including 8330 mu of paddy field. There are 8 small (1) and small (2) reservoirs, 104 canal dams and mountain ponds. The area of dry labor and income guarantee accounts for 58% of the total area of paddy field, with an average annual grain output of 3100 tons.
