Huilongwei town
Huilongwei Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Jiangyong County, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, is located in the east of Jiangyong County. The residence of the town people's government is 11.5 kilometers away from Xiaopu town where the county people's government is located. The town borders huangjialing Township in the East, Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south, xiacenpu town and Yunshan town in the west, and Xiaopu town in the north. The people's Government of the town is located in huilongwei, which governs three villages of zhujiaguan, Huilong and Yanxia, and two neighborhood committees of Baziqiao and Huifeng.
Huilongwei town is named after its residence. Huilongwei was named because the back mountain was shaped like a dragon and formed a Polder in the early years. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, huilongwei township was set up in the town, belonging to huangjialing district. In March 1958, the state-owned huilongwei reclamation and planting field was established, and lijiatang was set up in the field department. In 1959, three brigades, Xinglong, Huilong and malutou, were drawn from huangjialing commune and renamed as farms. In August 1959, the farm Department moved back to Longwei, under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of agricultural reclamation of the Provincial Department of agriculture and the Bureau of agricultural reclamation of Xiangnan administrative office. In 1961, it was directly managed by the Provincial Bureau of land reclamation. In 1965, it belonged to Lingling area. In 1969, it was subordinate to Jiangyong County. In November 1984, the establishment of township political power was restored. Huilongwei is now the management area for two brands and a set of people. huilongwei town has a total area of 96.68 square kilometers (2017), 113.7 hectares of arable land, 1333.3 hectares of fruit land and 13814 people (2017). The town economy is dominated by agriculture and forestry, mainly producing citrus, tea and peanuts. County Highway xm78 runs through the whole territory and is connected with Guangxi highway. The rural highway in the territory reaches all villages and the traffic condition is good.
