Mao Junzhen
Maojun town is located in the east of Lanshan County, 16 kilometers away from tafeng town. It borders Xinwei town and Linwu County of Chenzhou City in the East, Jiangdong Yao Township in the south, tafeng town in the west, Tushi Township, taipingwei Township and zhuguansi town in the north. The town government is stationed in maojunwei. As of August 2019, the total population of the town is 25900.

Origin of town name
The town uses the natural place name of maojunwei. According to the records of the old state, "maojunbao is the old inspection site. Mao jungai, the first builder of the castle. Later, Mao Jun became a place name. It was Xiantong Township before liberation. Maojun township was established in 1950. It was merged with Huoshi Township in 1958 and renamed Chaomei commune. Maojun commune was restored in 1961 and Maojun town was established in 1986. In 1995, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Huoshi Township and Shangping Township were merged and named Maojun town.
economic development
The total area of the town is 110 square kilometers (2017), with 1433.5 hectares of arable land. There are mountains on three sides of the territory. Junshui river flows from south to North and Shunshui river flows from east to west. County Juntian, Lixin two power stations are located in its territory. The town's agricultural economic forest, grain and tea are developed at the same time. Local specialty taro and big leaf improved bitter tea are very famous. Bamboo products are exported to both inside and outside the province. The annual GDP of the town is 100.69 million yuan, and the annual fiscal revenue is 2.044 million yuan.
There are hydropower stations, tea processing plants, bamboo processing plants, soy sauce plants, building materials plants, repair plants and other enterprises. There are 2 middle schools, 32 primary schools and 3 medical institutions. In the early Ming Dynasty, for example, Mao Jun inspection department was set up in this area, and then Mao Jun fort was built to guard the eastern border of blue mountain. In 1949, the traffic police force, known as the "Yulin army" of the Kuomintang, gathered in the mountains and resisted tenaciously. They were completely annihilated by our brave people's Liberation Army, and the blue mountain was liberated. There is a monument to the martyrs for later generations to visit.
