Shunfeng town

Formerly known as Chengguan Town, it is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Linwu County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, China. In April 2012, Chengguan town was renamed Shunfeng town. The town has a total area of 102.34 square kilometers (2017), a cultivated area of 320.4 hectares and a total population of 104400 people (2017). There is a middle school, a private middle school, five primary schools and one private primary school in the town. (as of 2002)

Historical evolution

It was built in 1950. In 1958, it belonged to five-star commune. In 1959, it belonged to Linwu commune. In 1960, it belonged to Wushui commune. He separated from Wushui in 1969 and became Chengguan commune. in 1981, she was withdrawn as a town. In 2012, Chengguan town was renamed Shunfeng town. in December 2015, it merged with Shuangxi township.

Administrative division adjustment

On the morning of December 20, 2015, the new Shunfeng town held a ceremony for the handover of leading cadres and the inauguration of the establishment, marking the formal merger of Shunfeng town and Shuangxi town. The newly established Shunfeng town has jurisdiction over 28 villages and 5 community neighborhood committees, with a total area of 102.35 square kilometers and a total population of 77800. It has become the central town of Linwu county. The people's Government of the town is located in the former Shunfeng Town People's Government of Linwu Avenue.
