Yangtianhu Yao township is located in the southeast of Beihu District, 51 kilometers away from the city center. It is adjacent to liaojiawan township of Suxian District in the East, Nanxiang township of Yizhang County in the south, Linwu County in the west, shigaitang street and Liangtian town of Suxian District in the north. The township government is located in Yongchun market, which governs 15 villages including Furong Village, liaojiadong village, lishuxia village, Taoyuan Yao village, Anyuan village, Wuchangping village, Yongchun village, Honghua village, Qingshan village, Ruijin village, caikou village, tianhuling Yao village, Datang Yao village, Kuandong village and jinxianzhai Yao village, and 3 communities including Yongchun community, Furong community and Datang community.

Situation of villages and towns

Yangtian Lake Yao township is named after Yangtian Lake scenic area. In 2015, due to the adjustment and reform of administrative divisions, the original Yongchun Township, Furong Township and Datang Yao Township were merged into yangtianhu Yao township. The township has a total area of 175.67 square kilometers, a total of 8010 households and a total population of 24444.
