State owned wanbaochuan farm belongs to Pingliang agricultural farm, located in Xinji Township, southwest of Lingtai County, Gansu Province, is a typical mountain farm.

brief introduction

The site has more than 147000 mu of land, more than 700000 mu of which are mountainous areas, growing a large number of legume grass and more than 30 kinds of wild medicinal materials such as winter flower and Rhubarb; all over the mountains and fields are economic forests such as Prunus humilis, Prunus davidiana, Zizyphus jujuba, walnut, maple and mulberry, which are suitable for the comprehensive development of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and sideline firewood.

Historical evolution

In 1958, the Party Central Committee issued the great call of "developing mountainous areas, Building mountainous areas and marching into mountainous areas", which aroused people's ambition to develop wanbaochuan, and the state-owned wanbaochuan farm was born. The farm was set up in April of that year and put into production in June. At present, it has 1820 employees, 22 production teams, 15 livestock farms, a small processing plant, basically complete agricultural machinery, and a real scale farm.

Production and construction

In order to change the appearance of mountainous areas, gradually move towards garden and farmland, realize the desire of "high mountains and distant mountains, forest mountains, low mountains and near mountains, Huaguo mountains, big rivers and small rivers, rice and fruit rivers, and strive to pile up grain and fruit into mountains", rural areas, in line with the principle of centralized management and quick effect management, adopt the methods of large, medium and small, focus on Soil and water conservation, and carry out irrigation and water conservancy projects, Then, 63 wells were drilled, 10 water canals were built, 17 reservoirs were dug, 50000 meters of ridges were cultivated, and 7619 mu of good farmland was renovated and dug, so that 540000 mountain areas were basically leveled.

Post disaster reconstruction

After the 5.12 earthquake, Pingliang agricultural general farm, wanbaochuan farm, zhanglaosi farm and Wuju farm, and gaoloushan farm of Gansu Agricultural Reclamation Yalan company were affected. A total of 1368 households and 4759 people were affected, resulting in a direct economic loss of 36.06 million yuan. A total of 113 million yuan is needed for reconstruction. After declaration and verification, 1080 houses need to be rebuilt and 180 houses need to be repaired. Reconstruction work is a hard and repeated systematic project with strong policy, tight time, heavy tasks, wide range, high requirements, great difficulty, staff attention and superior attention. The affected farms are not dependent on each other. They actively do their work, the group company actively coordinates, the farms raise funds in various ways, the leaders attach great importance to it, and the reconstruction work starts quickly and goes smoothly. Roads, drinking water and other infrastructure have been built and put into use.
