Tantoushan Island

Santoushan island is composed of volcanic tuff, with continuous hills and peaks. There are 14 peaks below 100 meters, and there are few flat lands. The vegetation between the mountains and fields is good, with shrubs and birds singing and flowers fragrant. Tantoushan Island

Santoushan island is located in the east of Shipu Town, Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province. It is close to Nantian island in the southwest, 37.5km away from Dancheng town in Xiangshan County in the north and 8km away from Shipu town in the north. It takes about 40 minutes by air from Shipu port.

It is 6.6 km long from east to west and 1.6 km wide from north to south, covering an area of 10.5 square kilometers.

General situation

Santoushan island is 8 kilometers away from the nearest point on the mainland. There are 10 natural villages in the island, with a population of more than 3000. It is engaged in marine fishing. After the masses moved to Shipu, only the local elderly were left. Tantoushan island is high and steep, with green hills and continuous ups and downs. The main peak, shitanshan, is on the east side of the island, at an altitude of 225 meters. You can have a panoramic view of the sea and mountains. There are 14 peaks more than 100 meters above the island, and the coastline is tortuous, with a length of 45 kilometers. There are two beaches on the island, big sand head and small sand head. Dashatou is 1500 meters long, 300 meters wide at ebb and covers an area of 0.45 square kilometers. Xiaoshatou is 500 meters long and 100 meters wide, covering an area of 0.15 square kilometers.

Climatic characteristics

Santoushan island has a marine monsoon climate and is a summer resort. It has suitable temperature, abundant rainfall, sufficient light, long frost free period and four distinct seasons. In summer and autumn, the monsoon is sharp and the waves are high. There is a lot of fog between spring and summer, but the delay is very short. The most frequent wind direction in santoushan island over the years is north wind, followed by southwest wind. The maximum wind speed is 58.1 M / s. The annual average temperature is 16.2 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 1624 mm, and the annual average rainfall days are 120 days. The average frost free period over the years is 292 days, and the average snowfall is 5.6 days. The average foggy days over the years were 54.6 days. The maximum snow depth in history is 42mm.

Santou mountain landscape belongs to Shipu Town, Xiangshan County. It is located on Santou mountain island, 10km to the east of Shipu port, on the sea surface at the junction of Damu ocean and Maotou ocean. It was an important coastal defense and fishery base in 1960s and 1970s. Take a boat from Shipu port to Xiaosha Wharf in the middle of the island in about 40 minutes. Both dazuitou in Dashatou in the north and Dongao Bay in the South can anchor from the wind.

The origin of the name

The origin of the name of Tantou mountain is recorded in Song Baoqing's Siming annals as follows: "on the mountain of the island, there is a stone altar, which is as flat as a case, so it is called Shitan mountain, commonly known as Tantou mountain, homonymous with Tantou mountain."

Tantoushan Island Beach

The central part of santoushan island is a narrow necked landform. Two bays opposite each other in the East and West breed a beach. The nearest place between the two beaches is only tens of meters away, commonly known as "sister Beach". Facing the East China Sea, the east beach stretches gently. The beach is about 1700 meters long. The sand is young, yellow and not sticky. It is amazing that "the tide comes with a row of snow and the tide goes with a piece of gold". Here Jinsha blue sea, white waves beach, gulls flying in the sky, white clouds and blue sky, known as "the first beach in the East China Sea" reputation. Santoushan island is actually composed of two isolated islands which are not connected with each other. Between the two islands, there is only about one kilometer of sea surface, which is made by nature. A sand city in the sea connects the two islands. To the east of this Shacheng is the beach, which is called waishatou by common people. To the west is the pebble beach, which people call lishatou. It's really like a sister to connect the inner and outer Sha tou. Waishatou is vast, open and magnificent, about two kilometers long. It takes 15 minutes to ride a bicycle at a medium speed, so it's the largest area in East China. The style of waishatou is primitive and simple. The sand beach is still rich in clams. The open sand beach of waishatou, with few people, has little artificial interference to the beach creatures. When you are here, what you want is the rare harmony between man and nature. Lishatou is a pebble beach, which is good-looking but not big. Outside the exquisite pebble beach, there is an extremely rich mud coating of marine animals. In the mud coating, there are some precious sea specialties, such as clams and mud snails. You can live in the stone beach, watch the sea, go down the mud coating and pick up the treasures of the sea. The fun is absolutely unforgettable.

The first submarine cable in Ningbo

The first submarine cable of Ningbo power grid "landed" at the wind farm on santoushan Island, Shipu, Xiangshan. So far, the submarine cable laying of tantoushan island wind farm has been completed, clearing a major obstacle for the wind farm to be put into operation.

A total of 30 850 kW wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 25500 kW will be built in tantoushan island wind farm, which will be officially put into operation in April as planned. After the electric field is completed and put into operation, 20000 tons of standard coal, 52000 tons of carbon dioxide emission and 7494.6 tons of dust can be saved every year.

The wind farm is connected to 110 kV Hedao substation at 35 kV voltage level, which requires laying 4.05 km submarine cables and 7.3 km land overhead transmission lines. This submarine cable is the first one in Ningbo power grid, and its laying is also the first "water test" of Ningbo power supply company. Therefore, the construction personnel have overcome the comprehensive unfavorable factors such as frequent fishing boats, stormy waves, irregular ocean currents, short construction period and so on.

After "landing" of submarine cable, submarine cable and onshore cable will start docking, and terminal installation and cable withstand voltage test will also be promoted. It is understood that Xiangshan power supply company also plans to build a new 35kV substation in santoushan island to turn clean energy into a continuous stream of electric power, so as to meet the power demand of life and tourism development on the island.

Self driving: from Shanghai and Hangzhou, take Shanghai Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway, turn to Ningbo Taizhou Wenzhou expressway, get off at Ninghai exit, and go to Shipu via Xiangshan.
