Baimiaotan Township, belonging to Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Zhangbei County. It borders yimatou township of Chongli County in the East and south, xiaoertai Township in the southwest, haojiaying Township in the west, ertai town in the north and dahulun town in the northeast. It is 21.2km away from the people's Government of Zhangbei County, with a total area of 221.65km2.
In 1949, baimiaotan Township belonged to nine districts of Zhangbei County; in 1983, it was changed from baimiaotan commune to baimiaotan township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Bai Miao Tan township was 13635. As of June 2020, baimiaotan township has 15 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in baimiaotan village.
In 2018, baimiaotan township has one industrial enterprise, one of which is above scale, and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1949, baimiaotan Township belonged to nine districts of Zhangbei County.
In 1953, yongtaichang township was set up in memory of martyrs Chang Yongtai and Dong Chang.
In 1958, it belonged to Dongfeng commune.
In 1961, yongtaichang commune was established from Dongfeng commune.
In 1982, yongtaichang commune was renamed baimiaotan commune.
In 1983, baimiaotan commune was changed into baimiaotan township.

At the end of 2011, baimiaotan rural area has 15 villages including santahu, erbadi, lianzhengou, houhao, baimiaotan, sanhezhuang, Halagou, hongguotu, Sanyanjing, jiashihe, xiaohezi, huangtuchang, shunongying, panchangying and Dongwan, and 80 natural villages.
As of June 2020, baimiaotan township has 15 administrative villages: santahu village, erbadi village, lianzhengou village, huangtuchang village, Sanyanjing village, baimiaotan village, houhao village, sanhezhuang village, Halagou village, hongguotu village, jiashihe village, shulongying village, panchangying village, xiaohezi village and Dongwan village. The Township People's government is stationed in baimiaotan village.

The terrain of baimiaotan township is divided into mountainous area and hilly area, and the northern part is relatively flat. Baimiaotan Township, with an average altitude of about 1500 meters, has the highest topography in the county. The landform can be roughly divided into Batou mountain area and wavy plain area. There are nine administrative villages in Batou area, namely santahu, erbadi, panchangying, hongguotu, jiashihe, xiaohezi, Dongwan and huangtuchang. The wavy plain area is mainly distributed in lianzhengou, houhao, baimiaotan, sanhezhuang, Sanyanjing and Halagou Political village.
