Xianyueshan Street
Xianyueshan street, subordinate to Liling City, Hunan Province, is located in the southwest of Liling City. It is the political center of the city, with a total area of 39.36 square kilometers and a population of 40926. It has jurisdiction over 9 villages including Wanyi, shichengjin, Shimenkou, dishuijing, wulidun, Bishan, Hexi, Jiangyuan and fengshutang, and 4 communities including caiyuanta, Shuyuan, Nanmen and Bishan.
Evolution history
Xishan street was set up in 1985. It is located at the northern foot of the western mountain, so it is named.
In 1996, with an area of 4.2 square kilometers and a population of 10400, the office is located in Xishan and has jurisdiction over seven neighborhood committees, namely Qiaonan, Nanmen, Bishan, Shuyuan, xianyuanqiao, Shimenkou and Panjiachong.
In 2004, it has jurisdiction over four communities: Nanmen, Bishan, Shuyuan and caiyuanta, and 12 administrative villages: Shiwan, Shangjia, Jiangyuan, Xishan, Hexi, bishanling, Wanyi, Shimenkou, shichengjin, wulidun, Liuchong and dishuijing.
In 2005, fengshutang village, the former zhuanbu Township, was designated as Xishan street. After the adjustment, Xishan Street governs 4 communities and 13 administrative villages, with a total area of 38 square kilometers and a total population of 38000. The office is located on Zuoquan road.
In 2015, according to the township division adjustment of Liling City, Xishan street was agreed to be renamed Xianyueshan street, and its jurisdiction and office location remained unchanged.
Geographical advantages
There are rich tourism resources under the jurisdiction of Xianyueshan street. The memorial site includes the monument to general Zuoquan and the tomb of Ning Taiyi, a martyr of the democratic revolution. Scenic spots include Lujiang academy, zhuangyuanzhou, Hongfu tomb and Caiyuan tower.
There are 48 administrative institutions above the municipal level in Xianyueshan sub district. The office consists of 7 offices and 1 Office of Party and government, comprehensive management, rural areas, community service, family planning, urban management, industry and finance, and Xishan squadron of urban management brigade, with 53 in-service cadres and workers.
Xianyueshan street has developed transportation and logistics network, beautiful environment, good order and broad development space. National Highway G106 and S313 run through the whole area. National highway G320 and shangrui Expressway connect to the border in the East. They are backed by Xianyue mountain and facing Lujiang River. They are surrounded by scenic spots such as Xianshan Park and Lujiang academy, as well as education bases such as song Mingchen temple and martyrs' cemetery. They are an important part of Liling's "Southward" strategy.
