Tiger Hill ecological park is located in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with an altitude of 1447.5m and a park area of 310000 square meters. It is an open comprehensive park integrating leisure, entertainment, fitness and tourism. Because the city is surrounded by mountains, it has become a unique "City Zhongshan". In 2005, Hushan ecological park was rated as AA tourist attraction by the state. At the same time, the site of Jining campaign headquarters is located in it, which has become an important patriotic education base in Ulanqab.

Historical evolution

Laohushan ecological park was founded in 1967 and is famous for its monument to the people's heroes and the site of Jining campaign headquarters. Wulanchabu is located in an important position outside the great wall and has always been a place for military strategists. The Hushan campaign in Laohushan during the war of liberation is of great significance in the history of Inner Mongolia's liberation. Therefore, Wulanchabu is listed as an important patriotic education base.

Development and construction

With the acceleration of Ulanqab construction, in 2003, Ulanqab city thoroughly planned and designed Laohushan ecological park, and built Laohushan and Baiquan mountain into nearly seven square kilometers of urban ecological park. As a witness of the historical changes of Ulanqab, today's Laohushan ecological park has become a paradise for ecological construction from an important place of human defense project in the past. It is just like a shining natural emerald embedded in the urban area of Ulanqab. It is increasingly shining in the great journey of building a new Ulanqab.

Planning layout

The overall layout of Laohushan ecological park is natural and smooth, with magnificent momentum. Some scenic spots have different styles and have their own merits. Mountains and flowing water form a school of their own. Pavilions and rockeries are unique. Among the lush mountains and forests, the secluded paths are wonderful and graceful. When you look at them, they are full of mountains and green trees. Lawns, flowers and trees make the garden beautiful.

As a patriotic base, Jining battle site is located in Laohushan ecological park, which is divided into hero monument and Laohushan battle headquarters. The hero monument is located in the memorial square of Laohushan ecological park. It is built to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who died in the liberation of Ulanqab. The monument covers an area of 475.2 square meters and is 20 meters high. It is made of concrete. In March 1988, it was listed as the key martyr memorial building protection unit in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 2003, the Monument Square of Laohushan ecological park was expanded to 2491 square meters, and a large number of trees were planted around it.

The site of Laohushan campaign headquarters is located on the west side of the memorial square, which is a historical witness. The spirit of our army officers and soldiers in fighting hard and making heroic sacrifices to protect Ulanqab will be recorded forever.

In addition, the waterfall area and Monument Square are added to the Tiger Mountain Ecological Park: a monument is set up in the center of the Monument Square, so visitors can trace back to history. There are also trenches and blockhouses full of mountains, which also witnessed the fierce scenes of the campaign in those years. New landscapes such as waterfall, pavilions and ecological Avenue also make the environment around the patriotic education base more beautiful.
