Shengji mountain

Shengji mountain is 45 kilometers southwest of Faku, beside Beijing Shenyang highway.

This mountain is undulating and winding for several miles. The top of the mountain is full of stones. It is huge and strange. There are many trees, green pines and cypresses, Populus tomentosa, purple locust and yellow elm, which constitute a green world of green cages.

In the Liao Dynasty, the mountain was regarded as a treasure land of geomantic omen. The noble rulers built tombs on the mountain and built tombs in the forest in order to benefit their descendants and enjoy wealth forever. It's called Shengji mountain, and it also has the meaning of building a tomb watch inside. It is said in the epitaph: "it has been more than a thousand years since it was buried in the right of liaochuan, the holy site of Shanyang.

Shengji mountain is famous for its numerous historic sites in northern Liaoning. After liberation, the relevant departments excavated more than 20 tombs here. In 1952, an octagonal mural tomb with stone strips was found here. In 1974, tomb No. 7 of the early Liao Dynasty was found. It is also a rare and precious tomb with rich and complete cultural relics in Northeast China. This is a brick multi chambered tomb with a wooden "small tent" coffin in the living room. The shape of the coffin is xiejiuji house, and the platform railings are very exquisite. On the East and west walls of the coffin bed are two axis silk paintings. One is the painting of mountains and rivers, trees, pavilions and figures; the other is the painting of bamboo groves, sparrows and rabbits. A tomb of Liao Dynasty's northern Prime Minister Xiao Yi was also found on this mountain. There is a sarcophagus in the tomb, and an epitaph and mural with "travel map", "return map" and warriors. The epitaph records Xiao Yi's life and provides valuable information for the study of Liao history.

There are many historic sites in Shengji mountain, which is almost a specimen of a generation's history. This vast mountain is famous for its long history and magic. The ancient history and culture have become an eternal landscape here.
