It's named after his hometown. In 1959, it was hejiatu branch of Zhuzhou downtown commune. In 1966, it was established as min branch and hejiatu street. In 1972, it was renamed baishigang street. In 1975, it was named hejiatu street. In 1980, it was renamed baishigang street. In 1997, it was divided into Lusong district from the former North District.
