Sandy land township of Enshi City is located in the northeast border of Enshi City, on the North Bank of the middle reaches of Qingjiang River. It is in the shape of "one slope", surrounded by water on three sides and mountains on one side. The land area is 190.29 square kilometers (in 2017), with 46000 mu of cultivated land, including 7100 mu of paddy field. Geography

Shasha township is adjacent to cuiba in the north, Hongtu and Xintang in the south, Sancha in the West and Jianshi in the East. At present, there are only two small hydropower stations, Baxi River and Qiaotou River, with an installed capacity of 1360 kW and an annual power generation of 3 million kwh.

In recent years, according to the industrial development path of "consolidating tobacco, developing taro, managing chestnut, expanding livestock and developing selenium", Shali township has developed 33000 mu of "Shali Youli" by 2006, and nearly 20000 mu has entered the high-yield period, known as "the first township of chestnut in Quanzhou". Sandland is one of the 30 high-quality tobacco production bases in the whole province. Burley tobacco is planted over 10000 mu all the year round. In 2006, the output value of tobacco reached 9.8 million yuan, and the financial revenue was 1.96 million yuan. Sandland was rated as the "top ten township" of tobacco production in the whole Prefecture. Sandi township is also one of the main production areas of selenium rich konjac in Enshi, with a planting area of 12000 mu, an annual output of 15077 tons of fresh konjac in 2006, and an output value of 22 million yuan, which is rated as "the top ten konjac production bases in the Prefecture". The amount of livestock raised is more than 100000, and more than 10000 mu of selenium containing crops are planted. By the end of 2006, the total rural economic income of the township reached 130 million yuan, and the per capita net income was 1600 yuan.

Qingyunya national 5A leisure resort

This is the first tourism project developed by Shasha Township, which was successfully signed on March 18, 2017. On March 18, Wuhan Central Business District Urban Construction and development company signed an investment and development agreement with Enshi Municipal government, marking the official start of construction of Enshi qingyunya leisure resort (tentative name). Qingyunya leisure resort is located on the North Bank of Qingjiang River in Sandland Township in the east of Enshi. The construction contents include Cliff Hotel, cliff train, scenic spot and cultural tourism town, with a total investment of no less than 3 billion yuan. Wuhan Zhongcheng company plans to take five to ten years to build it into a tourism complex integrating national 5A scenic spot, national mountain tourism resort and national cultural tourism characteristic town, and become a shining pearl shining on the crown of Enshi tourism.

Big and small shady ponds

The big and small lvyintang scenic spot is one of the potential tourism projects in Shasha Township, which is waiting to be developed. the so-called "green shade pond" is composed of three ponds. The finished shapes of the three ponds echo each other from afar. They are: waterlogging, big shady pond and small shady pond. The three ponds are all in the middle of the mountain, belonging to the high mountain barrier lake, but each pond is living water, with both in and out. All the water sources are selenium rich mountain springs, which are always green all the year round. the big green shade pond is large, about 5000 square meters, oval in shape, and deep. There is no accurate description of the depth. There are many kinds of fish in the pond. Most of them are naturally generated and grow slowly. They are called "Millennium fruit" locally. It is said that there are giant salamanders in the pond. Xiaolvyintang, with an area of about 2000 square meters and a round shape, is the highest among the three ponds. It lives in seclusion in the mountains and few people know its existence. Because it's far away from the main road, it's more gloomy and mysterious. From the east bank up and down, there is a hidden river. The height of the river is half a meter. People can go in. It is said that the bottom of xiaolvyin pond is just walking in from here. the flooded pond is about 3000 square meters, also oval, and is the shallowest of the three ponds. Most of the fish in the pond are grass carp and silver carp raised by local fishermen.

Baiyanzhai

Baiyanzhai scenic spot is another project worthy of development in Shasha township. Baiyanzhai is an abrupt mountain peak located in qiumu village, Shasha township. It is located in the northeast corner of Shasha market town, 2.5km away from Shasha market town. Baiyanzhai, like other peaks on both sides of the Qingjiang River, is extremely precipitous. The difference is that the surrounding rock walls of baiyanzhai are gray, so it is called baiyanzhai. on the west slope of the main peak of baiyanzhai, there is a huge stone about 150 meters high, which is very similar to the man-made building. It is well proportioned from top to bottom, which is very similar to the penholder. The local people call it "bijianshan". "Bijian mountain" is the gateway of Baiyan village. To enter Baiyan village from the sand Market Town, you need to pass by the foot of "Bijian mountain", and then walk up the Yangchang trail next to it, about 200 meters away. "Bijian mountain" is just below the field of vision. about "bijianshan", local people respect and admire it very much. They say that there have been a large number of literati in sandy land since ancient times, thanks to the "Fengshui" of bijianshan. Of course, it's just a beautiful place. In fact, Dongxiang of Enshi, including Xintang, Hongtu, cuiba and so on, have been paying attention to education and diligent in reading for generations. Good "Fengshui" is only a legend, and good "ethos" is the essence. In fact, around "bijianshan", there are several old and young market towns in Sandi township: Sandi, Luodu, Huabei and maigu. These places have a long history of emphasizing education and nurturing a number of cultural people.
