Luxi town

Luxi town was called Lukou in ancient times because of the entrance of Lushui River. Local people generally call it "Luxikou". It belongs to Jiayu County, Xianning City, Hubei Province. It is located on the South Bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and at the intersection of Lushui River and the Yangtze river. It is the junction of Jiayu, Chibi and Honghu. Only 5 kilometers away from the ruins of the ancient battlefields of the Three Kingdoms, it is the headquarters of the "battle of Chibi" in Soochow, with a long history of more than 2000 years.

Luxikou is an important place for military strategists in history, especially in the Three Kingdoms period. The local mineral resources are rich, mainly "gold", which can be said to be everywhere. The largest clay gold mine in Asia is in a village of the town.

Back to modern history, Luxikou mentioned in Article 5 of the Sino Japanese Treaty of trade and shipping after the Sino Japanese Treaty of Shimonoseki is a port for trade between Japan and China.
