Yangjiachang town

Yangjiachang town belongs to Gong'an County. It is located in the east of Gong'an County, adjacent to the Yangtze River in the north, Liuzi River in the East and Yangnan group (Qingji Industrial Park) in the southwest. Flat terrain, mild and humid climate, four distinct seasons. It has the characteristics of short frost period, long sunshine and abundant rainfall. It now governs 18 administrative villages with a total area of 137.7 square kilometers and a population of 51466 (2017). It is a major industrial and agricultural town in Gong'an County, including three communities, one village and three agricultural teams of brick and tile factories. It was designated as an industrial and economic community by the county government in 2000. In 2003, yangjiachang town was included in the master plan of Gongan County. In the long run, yangjiachang town will become a sub center of the county to the east by 2020. In 2005, it has jurisdiction over a neighborhood committee of yangjiachang and 17 administrative villages of Yanjiang, Xinzhou, Wuzhou, Changjiang, Xinjiang, Yuanxing, Qingji, welfare, greening, Renhe, malontai, Jinghe, Jingzhong, qingluoqu, Renhe, Hongsheng and Nongfeng.

Yangjiachang town now governs 18 administrative villages and an industrial park. It is an important industrial town in Gongan County and a key Township Industrial Park in Hubei Province. Yangjiachang town has a unique advantage in developing agriculture because of its flat terrain and fertile land. Rich in rape, cotton, grain, fruits, vegetables and other agricultural products, as well as pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, eggs and other livestock and poultry products. In particular, the pear produced is tender, sweet and well-known in Jingchu.

Jiangnan ancient town

Yangjiachang town is surrounded by the rolling Yangtze River from west to East. It has a long history and outstanding people. During the second Civil Revolutionary War, it was the seat of the county Party branch leading the public security revolution.
