Jiaocha Lake farm is a township level administrative planning of Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, with a population of 9809 (2010) and a land area of 94.27 square kilometers. It has 16 production teams under its jurisdiction: Jiaocha, Donggang, Dongsheng, Bayi, Panjia, Dongqi, Xujia, heshangzui, Wanjiagou, songhukou, chongdangou, Miaotai, Mogou, Hongqi, Liannan and lianbei. Folklore

There are many ancient and mysterious legends about the lake, among which the most famous one is about the lotus fairy and the mussel girl. A long time ago, there was a beautiful lotus fairy in the sky. The lotus fairy had a magic flute, which could blow out the fairyland that people yearned for. One day, she passed here on a crane, and saw that the people here were industrious, kind and upright, but they were poor and destitute. The lotus fairy was moved by the noble quality of the people in the lake and was determined to change everything for them. So, she took up the flute. When she played the second song, the water on the lake was full of fish and shrimp. When she played the third song, the high-rise buildings beside the lake were Yuli, and the people were happy and healthy. It is also said that there is a clam girl living in the lake.
