Renmin Road Street

Renmin Road Street, subordinate to Meilan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province, is located in the north of Meilan District, adjacent to Haidian Street in the East, Zhongshan street in the south, Haikou Bay in the West and Qiongzhou Strait in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 2.5 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 3.2 km, with a total area of 8 square kilometers. The land area is 7 square kilometers, accounting for 87.5%; the water area is 1 square kilometers, accounting for 12.5%.

In 1989, Renmin Road was established under the jurisdiction of Zhendong district. In May 1995, Baishamen village committee was put under the jurisdiction of Haidian Street. On October 16, 2002, Zhendong district was abolished and Meilan District was established. Renmin Road street was under the jurisdiction of Meilan District.
