In the early 1970s, Yingcheng No.1 salt making plant, Yingcheng salt making plant, Yingcheng thermal power plant, Yingcheng phosphate fertilizer plant, Yingcheng chemical fertilizer plant, Yingcheng salt chemical packaging plant and Xiaogan salt and alkali plant were built here. Together with Yingcheng salt mine in Hubei Province built in the 1950s, silipeng industrial zone was formed. The total industrial output value of municipal enterprises in siliping Industrial Zone accounts for 50% of Yingcheng's total industrial output value, which is half of Yingcheng's industry. The whole office vigorously develops the "three major economies" of suburban economy, road area economy and private economy, implements the "three major strategies" of revitalizing the office through science and education, promoting agricultural industrialization, and accelerating rural urbanization, and vigorously develops salt and chemical industry relying on mineral resources. The township enterprises in silipeng are developing rapidly.
