Fangfan town

Fangfan town is located in the southwest corner of Dawu County, in the Shanxi section of Dabie County, adjacent to Yangping town in the north, Xincheng town and Xiadian town in the East, Yangzhai town in Guangshui city and Wangdian town in Xiaochang County in the west, and Xiaohe Town in Xiaochang County in the south. With a total area of 163 square kilometers and a total population of 32899 (the sixth census).

Shuhe River, which originated in Henan Province, flows through the west of Dawu county and divides Fangfan town into two parts: the east part and the west part. There are many mountains in the East and hills in the West. The total area of cultivated land is 32949 mu, paddy field is 24709 Mu and dry land is 8239 mu.

It governs one neighborhood committee and 20 village committees, namely: Fangxing community, Fangfan, Wuhe, Xinwu, Xinsheng, Datang, Yupo, Dongsheng, Xulou, Xinjian, Yanchong, Tengchong, May 4th, Zhulin, Daiwan, zhongchong, gunhe, Zhaohe, Shengli, dawushan and Baiguoshu Bay.

Organizational system

Fangfan was originally under the jurisdiction of Xiaogan county. In 1933, the national government analyzed Xiaogan, Huangpi and Huang'an counties in Hubei Province and Luoshan County in Henan Province, and established Lishan County in the border area of two provinces and four counties. Fangfan is under the jurisdiction of Lishan county.

On September 10, 1952, Lishan county was renamed Dawu county. In 1987, Fangfan commune was changed into Fangfan town.

Fangfan town is a mountainous town with 172000 mu of mountain farm area and 8910 mu of water surface, which is suitable for the development of breeding and planting industry. There are about 13000 mu tea gardens in Fangfan Town, accounting for about 40% of the total cultivated land.
