Luohansi breeding stock farm
The state-owned Luohansi breeding stock farm, located 18 kilometers south of Zhongxiang City, was founded in 1977. It was formerly known as the military horse farm of Wuhan military region. It was composed of the former Zhiqing farm of Changtan town and the Heping brigade. Before 1986, it was named "Zhongxiang County Luohansi breeding stock farm". After 1987, it was changed into "Zhongxiang County Luohansi breeding stock farm". After the county was removed and the city was established, it was renamed "Zhongxiang City state-owned Luohansi breeding stock farm".
Currently, there are 2304 registered population (2010). the total soil area is 29 square kilometers, and the area of farmland and fishing pond is 10841 mu, including 10426 mu of farmland, 260 mu of orchard and 155 mu of fishing pond. the whole farm has three agricultural branches, namely military and civilian branch, Bali branch and horticultural branch. There are two complete primary schools (Bali primary school and Central Primary School), one staff health center, one post and Telecommunications Office (including tap water supply), one reservoir management center and one private enterprise, namely Tengda livestock and poultry breeding Co., Ltd. (Jingmen Municipal Animal Husbandry community). annual output of 3473 tons of grain, 128 tons of cotton, 950 tons of oil and 20000 pigs
