In 1996, Zhengdian Town, with an area of 63 square kilometers and a population of 24000, governed 11 administrative villages including Laoyi, Laosi, Laoqi, liaojiaqiao, Guanshan, Tongxing, Dongfeng, huangjinqiao, heli, Zongchang, Lianhe and a neighborhood committee in Zhengdian; duanlingmiao Township, with an area of 57 square kilometers and a population of 14000, governed Chongling, duanlingmiao, Dongshan, Jinxing, laowuhu, lianhuaqiao, qinglianan and yangshuzui 10 administrative villages in tuzhou, yupenhu and 1 neighborhood committee in Shuguang. In December 1997, Zhengdian town was abolished and Zhengdian street was established. In May 2001, duanlingmiao township was abolished and merged into Zhengdian street.
