Qiu Jixiang

Qiuji township is located 25 kilometers west of Luyi County, Laozi's hometown. It is adjacent to national highway 311 in the south, provincial highway 210 and Dancheng Zhecheng highway. Yongdeng Expressway also has an entrance in the territory. It borders Xuanwu town of Zhongzhou in the north, Shiliang town in the southwest and Zhaocun town in the East. The road has been connected to every village with complete communication facilities and network functions. The Qingshui River and Baigou River are rich in water resources. It has an area of 42.08 square kilometers (2017), 19 administrative villages, 60 natural villages, 43 thousand mu of cultivated land and 39989 people (2017).

Historical evolution

Qiuji township has a long history and outstanding people. Wuping City, the site of the Three Kingdoms, is the fiefdom of Wuping Marquis of Cao Cao of the Three Kingdoms. It is a county-level cultural relic protection unit. Qiuji was flooded by the Yellow River. After Wuping city was submerged, dozens of people moved here to avoid the water and gradually gathered. It used to be a high hill, so it got its name. It is rich in trees and is known as "Fenghuang Mountain". Qiuji commune was established in 1975 and the township was changed in 1983. In 1997, it covers an area of 43 square kilometers and has a population of 28000.
