Baling Township

Baling Township, belonging to Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Zhouqu County. It borders pingya Township, Wudu District, Longnan City in the East, Wuping Township in the south, Guoye Township in the West and Shawan Town, Dangchang County, Longnan City in the north. The area is 90.58 square kilometers. In 2018, 4689 people registered residence.

Qing Kangxi 53 years (1714) for Dangchang Ma Tusi territory. In 1934, it was transferred to Shawan township of Xigu county. In 1950, it set up baling Township, located in Yangshan village, belonging to Wuping autonomous region. In 1953, an additional slope township was set up and stationed in slope village. In 1958, the commune was established, and slope township was incorporated into baling commune. After 1984, it was renamed baling township. In June 2020, baling township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were two industrial enterprises in Baling township.
