Name and origin

Xunmukou town was originally named "Xinglong Town". Later, it was called "Xunmukou" because taokan, the Duke of Changsha in the Western Jin Dynasty, came here to look for his mother. In the Song Dynasty, there was a ferry across the Yunliang River, so it became "Xunmukou".
