Guanmiao town

Guanmiao town is located 31 km west of Shangcheng County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, with 115 ° 20 ′ E and 31 ° 82 ′ n. It borders Wangqiao town of Shangcheng County in the northeast, Yuji town in the South and Baique town of Guangshan County across the Bailu River in the West. The town covers an area of 91.4 square kilometers. Among them, the arable land area is 31620 mu, paddy field area is 4948 mu, mountain field area is 71500 mu, and other mountain areas are 37572 mu. The town has 20 administrative villages, 477 villager groups, 12978 households and 20865 people (2017). In March 2013, the township was removed and renamed Guanmiao town.

Guanmiao town is a shallow hilly area in the northern foot of Dabie Mountain. The terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast, with the highest point of dajianshan at 415 meters and the lowest point of Bailu river at Zhangwan village at 50 meters above sea level. The main peaks are dajianshan, luolongzhai, Ma'anshan, Mopanshan, Maoshan, tulongyu, pidazhai and qingshita. Guanmiao town is a mountainous town with suitable temperature, rich water resources and long frost free period. Suitable for the growth of a variety of plants and a variety of livestock and poultry breeding. According to this characteristic, the town Party committee and government have decided to take agriculture as the foundation, industry as the main body, chestnut, tea, aquatic product development and breeding as the four pillars, and develop agriculture, industry, commerce and service industry in an all-round way. Therefore, since the reform and opening up 20 years ago, Guanmiao town has made great progress in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery. The forest area is 80000, and the greening rate is 45%, exceeding the ministry standard. Among them, 15000 tons of chestnut were developed. With an annual output of 280 tons of chestnut in 2000, the existing water area is more than 5000 mu, including one Dashiqiao medium-sized reservoir, eight second-class reservoirs and 134 ponds. Taking the three-dimensional comprehensive development of chestnut, ginkgo and tea planted on the mountain of Dashiqiao reservoir, running a farm at the foot of the mountain, raising ducks and fish on the water as the model, the comprehensive cultivation and development of the whole town will be promoted.
