Shaji Township

Shaji township is located in the southwest of Yucheng County, Henan Province, covering an area of 47.56 square kilometers (2017). It has jurisdiction over 19 village committees, namely Shaji, caoxiaomiao, Shenji, Xinggang temple, Helou, Caolou, Heqiao, Tangzhuang, daliuliou, Gaozhuang, qianerlou, Renlou, Chentang, Zhenghai, Laoji, xuyoufang, hulou, Liuhang, Zhouzhuang and malau.

Introduction to villages and towns

Shaji township is located in the southwest of Yucheng County, adjacent to Duji town in the East, Mulan town in the south, Suiyang District in the west, Gushu town and Dianji Township in the north. It has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages and 93 natural villages, with a total population of 40131 (2017), 48600 Mu of arable land and 47.56 square kilometers (2017). In 1975, Shaji Township People's commune was established in Duji district. In 1985, it was renamed Shaji Township People's government, and the township government was located in Shaji village. The township is flat, warm and abundant in rain. The Baohe river meanders from west to East and flows through the middle of the rural area. There are Wuhe River and aohe River in the South and Huimin ditch in the north. Mainly agricultural crops, economic crops to edible fungi, Welsh Onion known far and near. Yuying highway and Beijing Kowloon Railway run through the township, with convenient transportation and superior location.

There are 40131 people in Shaji township (2017), with 45000 mu of cultivated land. Heqiao as the center of the south, fertile land, loose texture, and have the unique conditions for the growth of high-quality green onions. Shaji scallion is famous for its pungent, spicy, fragrant and sweet taste. With years of cultivation and management experience and the application of advanced technology, Shaji scallion has the five characteristics of "high whiteness, fresh color, high yield, high quality, storage and transportation", and has registered the "Yuguo Huamulan" brand. Also registered "Yuguo Huamulan" brand. The characteristic fruits and vegetables produced have formed the "Yuguo Huamulan" brand series.
