Origin of township name
The origin and evolution of the township Name: according to legend, there was a temple on the mound at the west end of Gujin village, so the temple was named "Qinghong Temple" because of its green tile and red gate. In the past, when there were happy events in the countryside, people needed to set up banquets to entertain guests. If they needed a lot of dishes and chopsticks, they would borrow them from the temple, wash them and send them back. At present, there are still sites, with a large number of bowls and dishes buried underground, most of which have been excavated and a large pit left. During the Qing Dynasty, there was a family surnamed Chen in the village. One of them worked as an imperial chef in the imperial palace. When he returned home, he felt that the name of the village was not good, so he called it Chen Ji. However, the villagers were used to the old name and it was difficult to change it. Because Qinghong temple is a relatively large village in the surrounding villages, people from four villages and eight townships come to buy things every lunar calendar day. This person will hire others to wait at the intersection outside the village for the villagers to come to the market. When they ask you where you are going to go to the market, they will beat you if you are from Qinghong temple. If they go to Chenji, they will let you go, and they will reward you with a few small money. When the time is up, they will change their name. After liberation, the people's commune was called Chenji people's commune. One year, Shangqiu held a regional commune commendation meeting, and Chenji people's commune was on the list. When the meeting was on the stage to receive the award, the meeting presided over Chenji people's commune, and two people came on stage to receive the award. When they asked, they knew that there was Chenji people's commune in Yongcheng county. Later, they found Chenji people's commune in Yongcheng county The history is earlier than that of Chenji people's commune in Zhecheng county. In order to avoid repetition, it was renamed chenqingji people's commune. The villagers are still used to Chenji.
