According to legend, in the 10th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yijun, the emperor of Wanli, was always unable to choose his favorite concubine. One day, he heard a melodious and profound bell in his dream. He followed the bell all the way and found a beautiful woman praying for blessings. Emperor Wanli was very happy and thought, "isn't this a gift from heaven?". He was about to talk to the girl when the bell stopped and a golden light flashed. The girl disappeared. Emperor Wanli was surprised and found that he had a dream. Emperor Wanli ordered his ministers to interpret his dream. No one could interpret it for several months, so he sent the imperial list to look for experts to interpret his dream. One day, a travelling Taoist revealed the emperor's list. The Taoist was invited to the hall to interpret the emperor's dream. The Taoist pinched his fingers and said, "long live, this dream is attracted by the bell. This is a gift from heaven. This bell is an ancient clock in Shanzhou under the jurisdiction of Henan government, The noble man in the emperor's dream is Liu, named Zhaojun. He is a man of great wealth. He has returned to the world for thousands of years. In fact, he is a noble man sent by heaven to help the emperor keep the country stable, the world is peaceful, and the people are in peace. We need to take this woman and Shenzhong back to the palace. " Emperor Wanli then sent his ministers to look for her according to the direction pointed by the Taoist. After investigation, it was found that there was a woman named Liu Zhaojun, who looked like an immortal, which was consistent with what the Taoist said. When the emperor was very happy, he canonized Liu Zhaojun as Zhao Fei (originally from Shangcun), and sent his ministers to welcome her mother and Shenzhong into the palace. As the bell was large, heavy and could not be pulled by ordinary vehicles, they ordered a special large car to transport the bell. They set out from Shanzhou city with the honor guard team to greet the empress. The bell and drum were ringing together and the gong and Gong were blowing along the way. The bell was loud and the sound spread for tens of miles. The people along the way vied with each other to see the beauty of empress Zhao. The bell was transported to the gate of cizhong city wall. When entering the gate, the bell was stuck outside the city, and there was no other way to go. The minister asked the empress, who said, "this is the artifact of my hometown. It's better to send the clock back to its original place (today's bell drum tower in Shanzhou scenic area)". In order to commemorate the story of Liu Niangniang's "Ci Zhong", people changed the place of "Ci Zhong" to "Ci Zhong", and later gradually evolved into a magnetic clock.
