Wocheng Town, Linying County, is located at the junction of Xuchang, Yanling and Linying counties, with 21 administrative villages, 31255 people (in 2017), 47000 mu of arable land and a total area of 49 square kilometers. Wocheng town has a long history. There are historical sites such as zhangliao City, the "juntun" site of Zhang Liao, the general of Cao Cao in the Three Kingdoms period. Shi (bridge) wo (city), wo Zhi (LE) and wo Zhang (Pan) highways cross the border.

Since the reform and opening up, wocheng's economic construction and social undertakings have developed rapidly. It has won the honorary titles of the province's well-off popular science demonstration town, public security model town, safe and civilized town, and the town cultural station has been awarded the top ten civilized stations of Luohe City and the top 100 cultural stations of the province.

Historical evolution

Wocheng commune was established from Wangmeng commune in 1975, and changed to township in 1984. In 1997, with an area of 49 square kilometers and a population of 32000, it has jurisdiction over 21 administrative villages, including wocheng, Baipo, dongxingzhuang, Dalizhuang, Zhangtang, hulicao, gouzhang, Huangzhuang, DanZhuang, Jiangzhuang, Guaizi, douzhuang, Dawangzhuang, Xuzhuang, Sizhuang, ChengNanDong, Zhuzhuang, Xiaozhuang, junzhang, Qianhu and chenghouzhang.

agricultural resource

Wocheng town has fertile land and rich agricultural resources. The town has become a production base of agricultural products with 25000 mu of small pepper, 20000 mu of high-quality wheat and 4000 mu of tobacco leaves, becoming an efficient agricultural demonstration town. Township enterprises are booming and private economy is growing. Ten industrial and commercial systems have been formed, including micro motor manufacturing, building materials, deep processing of agricultural and sideline products, large-scale breeding, commercial wholesale and catering services. Among them, 28 series of three leading products developed and produced by micro motor factory are produced and sold at home and abroad. There are 5 pig farms with 1000 pigs and 3 breeding areas with a large scale. The annual output of live pigs is more than 100000, which is determined as the county scale breeding base.

It is a key development town in Linying County, and won the silver cup of Luohe small town construction cup in 2001.
